The Archaeological Museum in Split and the Treasury of the Split Cathedral invite you to "DOMNIO," an interactive 1,700-year journey. Discover how a Salonitan bishop became the eternal symbol of Split!

Split and Solin are once again becoming the stage for one of Dalmatia’s most significant historical narratives. The program "DOMNIO. The Path of St. Domnius" leads you in the footsteps of Split’s patron saint, connecting archaeological sites, historical routes, and sacred heritage into one inseparable experience.

A Program Where History Comes to Life 

"DOMNIO" is more than just a lecture—it is an immersive field experience that interprets the journey of Saint Domnius (Domnio) from his martyrdom in the Salona amphitheater to the transfer of his relics to Diocletian’s Mausoleum, now the Split Cathedral.

While the first session was designed for adults, the Saturdays of April 18th and 25th are reserved specifically for families! The Archaeological Museum has prepared an interactive format tailored for children, fostering a deep connection with heritage through play and exploration.
